Chocovine =)
A friend and I stopped by the Crosstown Liquor Store yesterday to pick up a bottle of wine to take to another friend's. Having just settled on a Naked Grape Shiraz, and Barefoot Moscato, our attention was caught by the wine being offered as a tasting - Chocovine! A fairly new product on the market, and also since my friend and I love Baileys, we figured why not, and instantly found a drink that had us (though after some debate) switching our bottles for this chocolate and red wine combination. It goes down smooth like Baileys, and works well on the rocks. Serving-wise, I would suggest using either a rock glass or a two ounce shot glass for sipping purposes. We poured it into wine glasses, but that's a bit too much. Chocovine is perfect for after dinner, along with dessert, or just be dessert. Also great by the fire when you just need a treat after a cold day out. Word has it that it was very popular at Christmas, and watch out for this product to sell big during Valentine's Day as well. For those who normally don't drink red wine, you'll barely notice the wine =) If the red wine really bugs you, then the alternative would be creme de cacao for the chocolatey goodness.
