Drive

Ryan Gosling stars as the driver in this thriller where his character is a stunt driver who makes a side living driving criminals from crime scenes. All is smooth until he falls for a woman whose husband's past threatens her and her son's safety. Putting them first, the driver will do anything for them, including kill.  Gosling does a stellar job, cool, calm, collected as there is more than just the surface. There are a number of just moments which beautifully adds to characters and their relationships as well. The tension is so thick, it envelops the entire auditorium. You might find there's no air to breathe, which doesn't matter, you'll be holding your breath a long time before an ending that will keep you discussing even after the credits have rolled.
